G-Shock G7900-1 Rescue vs G-Shock DW6900 Comparison Review.

G-Shock Watch Review G7900-1.
After wearing my G-Shock DW6900 for 18 years, I got a new one.
I was going to buy the same watch again, it's been really great.
It's been rebuilt and it's been all over the world with me.
Sentimental value is strong in this watch.
But, I went with something new.
My fiance got it for me. (Thanks!)
The G-Shock Rescue 7900-1 is the watch I choose.
Got it from Amazon, the seller was Watch Trendz.
Good experience with Watch Trendz.
I'm very happy and I decided to review the watch and compare it to
my old watch.
They're pretty close.
Very Happy!

This is my favorite style G-Shock. Wore it for 18yrs.

It was pretty easy.

Budget Motor Home Remodel- It begins.

Start the budget motor home remodel.
It's all about baby steps.
We're starting slow.
Gathering materials, work and waiting for good weather is setting the progress.
Here's what we did the other day.
Any tips or suggestions for improvements or ideas?
Leave them in the comments..

Creepiest Noise Ever! Any idea what it is?

Creepiest Noise! Any idea what it is?
We hear this creepy noise periodically.
We live in the City.
We don't expect to hear noises like this.
Any idea what it is?
Leave a comment with what you think it is..
We're thinking its some kind of crazed animal.
Like maybe a scary squirrel, pissed off possum, crazy cat or a rabid raccoon.
Don't know..

1985 Motorhome- A slight Remodel. For Cheap!

Going to interior remodel the 1985 (nameless motorhome)
We have a budget of $300.00.
Here's the short list of our project.
1. Laminate Floors.
2. Redo Counter Tops.
3. Replace cabinet hardware.
4. Paint the interior.
5. Paint the interior light covers and fixtures.
6. Paint the cabinets.
7. Redo the booth dinette table top.
Our budget is very small.
I fully plan to utilitze my CheapGeek abilities and take advantage of
these acquired skills to make the Motor home more modern looking.
I'll be documenting everything.
Hopefully, I'll have some good tips and tricks for you.

Here's a tip- If your budget is as small as ours, you'll have a hard time at the big box stores.
Check out alternatives like close out stores, thrift stores or the Good Will.
Check around for the Habitat for Humanity Thrift Stores too.
There's lots of construction and finishing materials left over from the houses they build.
Those material are normally reasonable in cost and will be useful.
Here's a link to Habitat for Humanity store locator-

Here's what our flooring looks like.

Going over Old Fort Mountain in the Wintry Weather. Only a couple of acc...

Going over Old Fort Mountain in North Carolina.
The weather is all over the place.
This time sleet and freezing ice.
We were heading back over the mountain.
Since, I'm testing a camera mount we decided to film it.
It works pretty well.
A couple of accidents and a near accident.
Overall not bad.
Omi's SUV has 4 wheel drive and traction control.
That works well as well.

Here's a different style dash camera mount..

Windshield or Dash Car Camera Mount- Arkon CMP220 Cheap Fun.

Windshield or Dash Car Camera Mount- Arkon CMP220 Cheap Fun.
I bought this camera mount to record car stuff.
It's a cheap goose neck mount that works ok.
It's really for small cameras or small video cameras.
I'm using my Canon Powershot Elph 300HS as my dash / windshield / car camera.
It's got full HD and auto focus.
It'll also work with the small handhelds too.
I got the Arkon mount from Amazon.
I could have made something similar, but I figured I'd try this one.
It was around $13.00 with shipping.
It's not bad.
Here's a link to Amazon if you're interested.

If you own a GoPro, there's a ton of camera mounts
available. I don't own one yet...

Tripod Boom Mic Stand- Stage Rocker Powered by Hamilton SR630220

Stage Rocker Powered by Hamilton, the SR630220 Tripod Boom Mic Stand.
I plan on using a couple of these for pod casting.
The microphones will be mounted on the boom to keep them away from any accidental bumps, vibration or any other
unwanted noise that happens when you bump the surface that the microphone sits on.
I don't want to use a desk microphone stand.
I want the microphone suspended over my working area.
This should free up some desk space make it easier to work with.
Plus, it's a useful tool.
I'm sure I'll have other uses other than just using it for microphones.
I may be able to use it for mounting video equipment or lighting.
Available from Amazon and at the time, I really couldn't beat the price.
The have gone up in price but I think the really aren't bad.
They seem to be sturdy for the relatively light weight that they are.

Here's some information from Amazon and a link for even more information.
(Made exclusively for Amazon by Hamilton)
*T-handle adjustment for secure boom positioning
*Cylindrical boom clamp design with large clamping area.
*Dimensions: 38 x 4 x 3 inches @ 4.6 pounds.

Link from Amazon, if you're interested in more information and reviews.
(The reviews are pretty good.)
