Painting Solar Yard Lights for a different look...

I decided to paint or do a slight refurb or rehab on my solar yard or solar landscape lights.

The lights are about a year old and I wanted to do something a little different.

I like the idea of painting the lights to a color that more suites what will match the house and landscaping.

It's a quick and project.

You can paint them any color you want.

Adorama Flash Bracket VS Generic Flash Bracket

I bought this camera L bracket or flash bracket, from Adorama Camera for $5.99.

It's a good deal.

Earlier, I added a flash bracket to the $100.00 Film Making Kit.

They appear to be the same bracket.

This also appears to be the same bracket Cowboy Studios sells, as well.

So in this case, not only is cheaper the same, its better.

Opteka VL-20 Led Light- Review ($100.00 Film Making Kit)

This video light is from the $100.00 Film Making Kit. 

It's small, uses "AA " batteries and comes with a mounting bracket.
Which is one of the reasons I went with it.
It's around $12-15 dollars. (Price varies)
Overall, it's not bad, and has a usable light throw of 6-10 feet.
Good for interviews or lower light conditions. 

Definitely, not for your primary light source. 

Interviews would a good use..

Things are popping up all over. Garden kit update.

6 days. The seedlings are starting to sprout.
I might have planted too early.  No worries. Won't be long before we'll be eating real vegetables.

$5.00 Garden Starter Kit. (Dollar Tree)

$5.00 at the Dollar Store is going to allow me to start a garden.

The Dollar Tree store has the seeds at 4 for a dollar and everything else you need..

I'll have the vegetables ready for spring planting.

I like to plant what I eat, and this is a cheap way start a garden.

At least with dollar store stuff. I've had pretty good results doing it this way.

Using multiple seeds per cup allows me to pick the strong plants..the soil could be better.

Still, not bad and its easy.

Great price on the Camera L Bracket from Amazon.com !

Better price than what's in the $100 Film Making Kit.
